Doina Pirau has founded her atelier of leather goods making at the beginning of 2008 and later the same year she enrolled at University of Art and Design in Cluj – Napoca to study Fashion. Doina Pirau was the designer through whom the Coach leather goods brand changed their inside labels, and this collaboration with Coach earned her special recognition in the design community. Following her debut collection of luxury clothing and leather goods, she was given the title of “The Best Young Designer from “Cluj Fashion Week”, while still in the midst of her university studies. She was interviewed and featured by several prestigious European fashion Magazines and one year later, her Graduation Collection entitled “Ethnic Vibes”, won her the recognition of “The Best Young Designer” at national level, voted unanimously by all 5 fashion industry professionals, taking place the unprecedented event of having all 5 judges vote for the same designer, out of 22 graduates that year.

 

In 2013, Doina Pirau entered the North American market for the first time, and soon after our designs have been chosen by Hollywood actresses, such as Sharon Stone and Sandra Vidal, who present themselves with Doina Pirau at their public engagements. Doina Pirau designs have ever since graced the red carpets at Award Ceremonies, Galas and is present on the market, internationally.
